What a Few Couple of Weeks...

The Saturday after Moab Nikki and I went up to Clearfield to be crafty with one of her old friends that was hosting a little workshop where we made 32" x 26" Temple portraits. It was a lot of fun and not too hard- the frame came in pieces so we had to paint it then actually build the frame, the temple picture is actually a photgraph which we texturized then mounted onto the frame. A little time consuming but I think it turned out awesome, too bad it's not really for me (Merry Christmas for my mom) The ladies that did the workshop provide everything and they offer most UT temples- if you're interested I'd recommend checking out the website, because there are other fun DIY projects http://poppyseedprojects.com/

Halloween was so fun, because we got to spend a bunch of time with Keegan. He was a knight!

Our ward YM/YW do a mini carnival for all the primary kids the Wednesday before Halloween and so we took Keegan over. This is how we started the night- full costume (it didn't last)

Once we got there Keegan decided the cap and "tummy shield" just got in the way with the games - they had fishing.....

And a bean bag toss.........

And face painting, but Keegan just wanted a bat - on the top of his hand.............

And more fishing- that's all he wanted to do, he cleaned them out of fish (I had to "throw some back" after away so there would be more fish for the other kids)

Also before Halloween Josh, Nikki, Jon and I did our pumpkin carvings again

This was the first night: scary scarecrow- mine, monster-Nikki's, Boo- Jon's, mummy- Josh's
Then our ward has an annual party (more for adults) and they do a pumpkin carving contest and Jon and I always go for it; although this year we took all of ours (from above) and Jon and I actually did one more each. Jon did the bat and I went for something way more simple than my scarecrow which took me forever- so I went for Jack Skeleton

I took 1st place for Jack and Jon's "Boo" took 2nd.

The two little ones on Halloween- a big strong Knight and a little giraffe.
All in all October may have started a little crazy and stressful but it ended with a lot of fun.
OH- and I'm an idiot - yesterday look what I did:
Atleast I can say that this WAS NOT a result of texting or talking on my phone while driving!! Just a stupid error that left a perfect hitch stamp in my bumper- anyone know of a good auto body shop???
