Spokane & Keegan

This is what we arrived to:I'm just going to warn you now, that all these pictures are of Keegan, because let's face it - he was the entertainment of the trip.
This was his first punch on the big new toy
There was A LOT of reading books.....
One day we bundled up (since it was about 6 degrees this day) and went to Coeur d'Alene, ID to see the sights. It's just a little Park City-ish town with quaint shops and restaurants. Doesn't Keegan looked a little like the kid from Christmas Story - he had a few layers on
This is a "big buffalo" in Coeur d'Alene
I had to put this photo in. One night Nikki shorten some work out pants I've had (just a mere 5" needed to be taken off) and out of the material that was cut off, she made head/sweat bands that Jon and Josh wore.
This is the big, red, monster truck that I bought for Keegan. It was supposed to be a Christmas present, but since I let him pick it out - there was no way to make him wait until Christmas to open it.
Keegan just looking at all the gifts he couldn't wait to open. He kept taking the blue one to Nikki and wanting her to open it. He didn't quite understand that the gifts were going to sit there a for another week before they could open them. And actually about half of those Jon and I brought home with us to disperse to family here in Utah.
All in all, it was a great trip. Some of the hightlights that weren't captured in a photo were:
-Coming in to Spokane, as we were making our final desent, we looked out the window and were hovering above the 'clouds' and then slowly dropped down into them and then what happenes to our astonishment? We land. It wasn't clouds we drifted into, it was thick fog! It as the craziest feeling - thinking you're still pretty high in the sky and then BAM, your on the ground.
- COLD WEATHER! No joke, who would have thought Spokane would have frigid weather? I'd say the average temp was 7 or 8 degrees. But what made it even worse was the wind - it was so windy which probably dropped the temp even more, and we just didn't know how cold it realy was. It sucks when you can see your breath while your in the car.
- Seeing the bell ringer outside of Walmart have icicles on his mustache
- Buying $34 worth of treats, because Jon and I were going through sugar withrawals, since Josh and Nikki didnt have any desserts/candy/treats. We stocked up on Diet Coke, then got some ice cream, cookies, and some reeses pb trees.
- And finally: Having the fire alarm go off at 10:30 one night, waking Keegan up and freaking the rest of us out. We had to wait outside in freezing cold weather while it was checked out. I guess a water line froze/broke and the apartments just across the hall from Josh & Nikki's were being flooded with water. Finally we went back in and warmed up, but the after math of having the line break - the turned off all water to the building and the next day we had no water. Couldn't shower, had to go to the bathroom up at the office..... it was fun!
Thanks for letting us come and visit Josh & Nikki.
