I know, I've been a major slacker on doing regular updates, but honestly I haven't had anything going on to post about. I'm having a love/hate relationship with my new work hours: LOVE- not having to wake up to an alarm and working out in the mornings!! HATE- working until 5 (so boring) and majorly hate the pay cut. Oh well, hopefully things turn around in the next 30 days~
Around the house we have some major changes going on in preparation to extend the kitchen. For all those that know our back-yard, you'll remember the huge oak tree (I think it was an oak no maybe it's a cottonwood). This was the tree we would climb then jump onto the tramp from, I honestly cannot remember not having this big tree part of our backyard. Well- it's gone!!
This picture does not even do it justice- to show how big the stump was. It was so huge/heavy. They had to cut it into several pieces just to "roll it" awayThe next item to go: the deck! So weird to see it go. Again, I know my dad only built this deck maybe 10 years ago but still- it's hard to think back and remember the yard without it.

And I'm not really sure why, but the same time they cut the tree in the backyard down, they cut the apple tree in the front yard down too. It's strange to look out my bedroom window and not see a tree- but I'm a little excited to not have birds in the spring/summer seasons in it chirping in the early morning hours.

And on another note- I've got to see and hang out with Austin a bunch in the last month. With my new hours Jen took advantage and asked me to go out and watch Austin one morning while she went to the dentist. This boy is growing so fast. It's hard to believe he'll be 1 in just over a month.

And then he was able to come sleep over last weekend - he seemed to keep himself busy just fine while we made breakfast...

Wow, I haven't seen him in a long time! He looks so big! His long hair is really cute. I'm excited to try your cookies! :) We'll have to get together sometime soon.
Ok, that is weird that Austin will be 1 in a month. It really seems like he was just born, he's so big, and cute! Good luck with the remodel!
