Grateful for Eye Sight

Yesterday I went to the eye doctor and they did all the usual tests and then he asks if I'm ok to have my eyes dilated - I had my sunglasses with me so I thought, no big deal. This was at about 11:00 a.m. - After my appt. I thought it would be no problem to run a few errands. Not such a great idea, I went to buy some new jeans, and I couldn't read the tags at all, I just couldn't focus my eyes on anything. The poor sales person probably thought I was such a freak, because I didn't even try to look for my own size, I just relied on her to find everything. And it was such a nice, sunny day that it drove me nuts to be outside since my eyes were so light sensitive.
Anyway, the point to this entry is that it's been over 24hours and my eyes are still dilated!! I still felt really fuzzy and unable to focus through last night, and then this morning it seemed a little better, but when I looked in the mirror, my pupils are still big. Not as big as yesterday, but still - they're not back to normal size yet. It's so weird to not be able to really focus on what you're looking at - it drives me nuts to try to read, and I'm getting a headache just trying to type this entry and to look up at the computer screen.
Needless to say - I have taken my eyes for granted and am thankful that I've never had any real eye problems. And next time when the doc asks if it's ok to dilate my eyes, I might have to think twice...

I have had my eyes dialated 2 times and both times were just the same. I couldn't see forever. The first time they tried to have me pic out reading glasses right after. Yeah right.
