Pregnancy + Surgery

Most of you know that my older sister, Jen is pregnant and due on my birthday, March 18. Well, what I'm sure most of you don't know is that she is having surgery later this morning. Yes, you read correctly- my 30 week pregnant sister is having surgery today.
Long story short: she needs her gall bladder removed and at first her options were to either kind of deal with and manage the pain with pain meds or be induced, have the baby early and then remove the gall bladder. Well as I'm sure most of you thinking - what mother(to-be) really wants to have a premature baby?! So she was going to try to manage the pain, but it got too bad, so she consulted with a general surgeon and I guess the plan is to remove the gall bladder without delivering the baby, given that everything goes ok.
Hopefully she'll post all about this when she is recovered, because I'm sure there are way more details and things that I don't even know about.
