1 cup sour cream
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
18-24 whole oreo cookies
12 oreos crumbled
MIX TOGETHER cake mix, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla. Place a spoonful on the bottom of each paper liner. Place a whole oreo lying flat. Cover with the remaining batter to 3/4 full.
BAKE AT 350 degrees for 15-18 mins. Allow cupcakes to cool completely on a rack.
ADD crumbled oreos to butter cream frosting. Be generous and frost cupcakes nice and high.
Vanilla Buttercream Frosting
8 T. (one stick) butter, room temperature
8 T. (one stick) butter, room temperature
3 3/4 c. powdered sugar
3-4 T. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Place butter in a large mixing bowl. Beat until light & fluffy, about 30 seconds. Stop beating, add sugar, 3 T milk and vanilla extract. Beat starting on slow, and increasing speed until frosting is nice a creamy. Add 1 more T of milk if frosting is too thick.

Here are my notes on the recipe: I made 24 cupcakes, baked for full 18 mins & only used 10 cookies crumbled into the frosting.
