Island Park

We went to Island Park July 23-27. It was just us and The Jameson's. It was a little weird, at first, not having Grandma & Grandpa there in A-16, especially at night for the usually campfire. Their site really has the best pit so everyone can sit around. OH WELL... We still had a good time and we brought along Amy Nielson with us, and I think Austin might have developed a little crush on her. He always wanted to sit by her when we ate and wanted to play games with us.

First day (well second day, since Monday we pretty much got up there, set up, ate then went to bed) we went to Mesa Falls. Even though I've seen it 15+ times, it's still a nice little walk and always amazing to see the falls!

Spencer and Austin always wanted to go down by the river to throw rocks in! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture of Spencer, Jon... not so much, he must of been saying something to me, but Spencer doesn't get much cuter than this!

Kinda blurry, because we were driving but this is how we rolled the first time through Yellowstone (Wed) A little squishy, but not too bad.

Mom really wanted to do a hike this year. So dad dropped us off and met us at Old Faithful lodge. It was supposed to be a little over 2 miles, but we took an extra loop to see some geysers while we were walking.

Next time (Thurs) through Yellowstone, Amy and I decided that we we'd hang out in the back; #1 because the previous day we were stopped for over an hour because of 1 buffalo and got cramped just sitting in the back for that long and #2 thought it would be fun and we were able to make some bracelets, do sudoku, take a few cat naps, etc.

Looking for bears! Don't mind Jon in a hoodie while we're all in short sleeved shirts. He had an incident with some cream soda!
