Hiking

There are advantages of going back to working in the morning and getting off @ 1pm, even if it is only until Tuesday. Instead of going to the gym yesterday, Lamont and I decided to go hiking. It seemed brilliant until we were leaving and it started to rain and thunder, but we decided to still go. Once we were up in the mountains, it actually cleared up and it was great weather for us. We went up Big Cottonwood Canyon and did the hike to Dog Lake. It was beautiful.

I know this picture doesn't really do much to show you what the start of the trail was actually like, but it was super steep and narrow and smooth; which made the trip back down a little sketchy,
but we made it.
I don't know how far we actually made it but we came upon an even more narrow stretch of trail and it was surrounded with huge bushes that had flower blossoms on them and there was tons of bees! Sorry, but I was not about to walk through such a narrow path and risk getting stung and puffing up, been there, done that- no thank you. So we ended up not actually making it to the lake.

but it was still beautiful

Afterward we decided to go up to Silver Lake and walk around,
you know, since we had cut our hike short.
I love Silver Lake

It's so gorgeous up there right now and we saw a moose.

no moose sighting the entire time up in Island Park,
but we can see one just 20 mins away from home.
