Just a few other photos I had on my camera:
David Archuletta singing the National Anthem at the Real game in June; he also did a little mini concert after the game. He was really good. Some people just don't sound that good live, but he sounded just like I remembered from AI and on the radio.
This is totally random, but I have to brag/reprimand my dad a little. See that big knob/bump on the back of his heel?! He's been walking, actually limping around with an ankle spur for like 3+ weeks. Finally last week he went to the doctor and the diagnosis wasn't good. Walking boot for 3-4 weeks, if it's not any better: surgery. And not just a simple surgery, we're talking cut the achilles tendon, cut and smooth out bone and then put a metal plate and screw in to secure the ankle. (this is just my recollection of the description- details may be a little different) Then absolutely no putting that foot on the ground for...wait for it....10 weeks! Needless to say a 2nd opinioin is in the works. But my dad found all this out the day before I left for camp; which would normally be no big deal- except that my fabulous dad had agreed to pull the trailer with all our ward's camping gear up and park it and help set up with whatever we needed. I tried to have the girls do as much as possible and keep my dad side-lined- but anyone that knows my dad knows that he'll jump in and help with anything!! So I'm grateful that he helped despite the pain he was in.
