Thursday, Jon and I were able to go to the Sun City Carnival Tour with Lady Antebelum, Miranda Lambert (Sugarland) and Kenny Chesney. I was fortunate enough to get 2 tickets from Russ who had bought 10 but had some people back out last minute. I have always wanted to go to a Kenny Chesney concert and when I found out he'd be at our very own Rio Tinto Stadium I was all set to go, until I found out how expensive the tickets were- and no one wanted to pay to go with me.... so I lucked out! The day of we found out Sugarland would not be performing, which was a major bummer- I was super excited to see them, but everyone else got to extend their sets (not a good thing with Miranda). Kenny ended up playing for about 2 hours!! So here are a few pics:

I only knew 2 songs but they were good!Miranda on the other hand....not so good, in my opinion.
I would have been ok with her only playing about 20-30 mins
After playing for about an hour & 20 minutes he left the stage and then came back for his encore which was about 40-45 mins! Longest encore I've ever seen- and it was all remixes. He sang some Eagles, U2, Sublime, etc. SO good. And check out what he came back wearing.

Oh man, I'm so jealous! I love Kenny Chesney! I'm sure it was a great concert!! You seriously lucked out. We're going to Island Park!! YeaY! We're going up on Friday, the 7th I think, and coming back Sunday night...so not a really long stay, but we're excited to go. Jessica and Macsen are going and we're still trying to get Dad and some kids from Eagle to meet us there. I think some will, but maybe not all. I hope you'll be up there at the same time!
